8 THOUGHTS ON “JOHN THOMPSON (DECEASED) AND BILL”

  1. My name is Andrew Thompson and John is my younger brother and a twin to our sister Maureen.

    I would like to know what was John position in the Navy also what sports did he participate in as our whole family were very much into sports and music. I miss my brother very much and when he join the Navy we would catch up as much as we could.,If you have any photo’s of him it would great if we could share.

    my contact details;

    Andrew Thompson — PO Box 348 — Morrinsville, 3340

    1. From Brent Bramley – Having an Date of Birth, to establish age, and approximate time Andrew spent in the Navy (From / To) would help as the people who will see this post most likely would cover sixty years or more service

  2. I apologise I was not in the Navy only my brother was till his accident in 1971, I was just seeking information for my daughter who knew him when she was about 3yrs old.

    1. Did his accident happen while in the Navy as I was serving at that time. If you his age at the time of the accident may help as well. We are happy to try a find any information particularly if you knew when he joined

  3. His name was John Thompson he died 24/12/1971 and he was on HMRNZ Blackpool and then the Otago. I think he joined the navy about 1967.

    thank for your acknowledgement.

  4. Sorry John my brother was 20yrs old his next birthday 13/01/72 he would of been 21yrs.

    I think he started the same year as Alistar Blair.
