#OnThisDay 1944, Loch Class Frigate HMNZS Tutira launched. She initially saw service with the #RoyalNavy, as HMS Loch Morlich. She commissioned as Tutira into the #NZNavy April 1949, serving until August 1951. She saw service in Korea from July 1950 – May 1951. #KoreanWar
