PHILIPPINE SEA (March 1, 2020) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers USS Barry (DDG 52) and USS Mustin (DDG 89) are underway in formation with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force missile destroyer JS Sawagiri (DD 157) during the U.S.-Japan Bilateral Advanced Warfighting Training exercise. BAWT improves interoperability between the U.S. and Japanese forces.
